Event Details

The seventh annual 8595 Hospitality Tent at William & Mary Homecoming will be hosted on 10/27/2012 (time TBA after kickoff time is set).

Homecoming has long been the preeminent event of the William & Mary alumni calendar; the 8595 tent provides a festive complement to the weekend's official happenings. Focused on the classes of 1985 through 1995, 8595 is a way to rendezvous with classmates and friends you might not otherwise have run into in the larger crowds.

Between 250-450 alumni, friends, and family members have stopped by each Homecoming.

Go to the bottom of the page to see a list of who has registered so far. Please sign up early so we can get the best possible headcount. And be sure to answer the survey questions presented during registration to help us better tailor the event to the wishes of 8595 alumni.

If kickoff is in the late afternoon, as in 2011, the 8595 tent opens at 11:30am and will close after halftime. The tentative tent location will be at Crim Dell Meadow, as in 2011 and 2009, with the 9606 tent adjacent.

As in the past, there will be no charge for admission, food, or beverages, but we will again offer a new VIP Bar for the benefit of those who contribute to the underwriting of the tent's expenses.

Costs will again be covered by Benefactors from the two reunion years, as well as the nine non-reunion years. We are also looking for two Corporate Sponsors.

Click here for a current list of Tent Benefactors (our goal for 2012 is 23 Gold Level Benefactors and 42 Green Level Benefactors), and we want to try and get one full year ahead of expenses.

As in the past,  we need like-minded alumni to step up and become Benefactors now, so we can continue to offer the same amenities as in the past. We also need Hosts to help spread the word to their circles of friends.

Gold Level Benefactors are those who contribute $200+ (per individual) per year and Green Level Benefactors are those who provide funds of $100-199 (per individual) per year. Please note that contributions are not tax deductible.

While the focus of the 8595 effort is on this 11-year span of class years, the 8595 tent has traditionally been open to all, so please feel free to bring your alumni friends from other years!
